Custom software development

Bespoke platforms built around how your business actually works.

Discuss a project

Most businesses reach a point where the software they bought stops fitting the way they work. The workarounds pile up, someone maintains a spreadsheet that everything depends on, and a process that should take minutes takes a morning.

We build the system that replaces that. Not a platform bent into an awkward shape, but software designed around your actual process — the exceptions included, because the exceptions are usually where the cost is.

What we build

Internal business platforms

Operations systems, admin tools and workflow engines for teams that have outgrown spreadsheets and generic project tools.

Customer-facing portals

Account areas, booking systems, document exchange and self-service tools that reduce the volume of email your team handles.

SaaS product engineering

Multi-tenant applications with billing, roles, onboarding and the operational tooling a product needs before its first paying customer.

Legacy modernisation

Moving systems off unsupported frameworks and databases without a big-bang rewrite, usually one module at a time so the business keeps running.

What you get

  • Working software deployed to your own infrastructure
  • Source code and full ownership, with no licence tied to us
  • Technical documentation written for the next developer
  • Automated tests covering the paths that matter
  • Handover session and 30–60 days of included support

Questions about custom software

How do you price custom software?

Fixed scope and fixed price, agreed before development starts. We scope properly first — usually a short paid discovery — because an honest number requires understanding the problem. If scope genuinely changes mid-project we quote the addition separately rather than quietly extending the bill.

Do we own the code?

Yes, entirely. Code is delivered to your repository, deployed to your infrastructure, and documented so another developer can maintain it. We do not retain licences, and there is no mechanism by which leaving us breaks your software.

How long does a custom build take?

A focused internal tool is typically four to eight weeks. A full platform with multiple user types, integrations and billing is three to six months. We would rather scope a smaller first release you can use than a large one you wait a year for.

What if we already have a system that half works?

That is common and often the better starting point. We assess what exists, keep what is sound and replace the parts that are not. A rewrite is occasionally right, but far less often than people expect.

Tell us what you're building

Start with a sentence about the problem. We reply within one business day, with honest questions and — if we're the right fit — a proposal with a fixed number on it.
